The American Architectural Manufacturer Association (AAMA) is made up of professionals who are interested in the advancement of the industry. As a material-neutral organization, AAMA brings together window, door, skylight, curtain wall and storefront manufacturers, suppliers and test labs to represent individual and shared concerns and interest among small and large companies.

For Manufacturers and Members AAMA offers:

  • AAMA proactively and effectively influence codes, construction and specification issues.
  • The AAMA Certification Label shows provides a means for manufacturers to validate that their products meet rigorous performance standards.
  • AAMA standards are developed to address critical issues in the industry. 
  • AAMA's Councils comprised of professionals in specific sectors of the overall building trades focus on materials and products in which their expertise exist.

Skylight Council

Council acts as an information provider and promoter of skylights in the fenestration and related building products industry. It also functions as a provider of technical, regulatory, legislative, marketing, and certification support to insure that the appropriate standards are established, maintained, and communicated for the benefit of the users and suppliers of skylight products.

A new, pending ASTM skylight fall protection drop test requires dropping a 267 lb sand filled canvas bag with a 5.5" bull nose from a height of 36" on the skylight glazing. As evidenced by this video Trituff Coployester passes the test. The total impact force and pressure developed in this test is 2,278.6 foot pounds and 95.9 lb per square inch.
