For minimal thermal transfer while still providing an abundance of highly diffused natural light you want Nano Insulgel/Lumira. Our proprietary Nano Insulgel/Lumira skylights utilize multi-wall polycarbonate panels filled with nano sized silica aerogel. Silica aerogels, also known as “blue smoke” or “frozen smoke”, are one of the lightest solid materials known and function as super insulators. The nano pore structure sized material possess excellent light transmission, thermal and sound insulation properties. Nano Insulgel/Lumira has about 6 times the insulating value of a traditional skylight.

If extremely low thermal transfer is of great importance in your daylighting plans you want Nano Insulgel/Lumira, exclusively by Bristolite Daylighting Systems.
